I have been a commercial writer for many years and have Spanish links in my family.

As a writer of English I first stumbled upon Natural Reader in September 2008 when I began to have some difficulties with computer eye-strain.

I was spending many hours researching online for my work and this led me to start using Natural Readers software to read my text out loud to me – so I didn’t have to hurt my eyes staring for hours at the screen.

I have been using this software every day since 2008 and two things really stand out for me.

1) The software is extremely easy to use. I bought and tried software made by other manufacturers, but none of them came close in terms of useability and quality.

All the free TTS software is poor in sound quality and requires lots of cutting and pasting – so I do not recommend it.

Also – there is no free Spanish TTS software available.

The TTS Spanish natural human voices are made by AT&T while the synthesized voices are made by Acapela.

As you start working with these voices they almost seem to develop characters of their own.
